We have had an exciting week in Room 1 and 2 we have been working hard on our hand writing and mathematics this week. Room 1 and 2 have been looking into statistics this week gathering, sorting and counting different materials around the classroom.

Room 1 and 2 all had a great time at Athletics day this week. Thank-you to all the parents and families who came along to support the children and school. It was great seeing you all.

We have had a busy week in Room 1 & 2 this week. We all had a great time and made fantastic progress in our swimming this week.

Thank-you to all the grandparents, parents and family friends who joined us for our grandparents afternoon. It was great to meet everyone's special person and all the students enjoyed showing off some of the things we do at school; their classroom, favorite things, athletics practice and singing.

We have also been working on our art, creating self portrait. We are really proud of these and would love to share them with you, please pop in and see them on our classroom wall in our family corner.

Welcome to the Room 1/2 Blog! We have all had a great first week at school, learning lots of new things about our school. We have all been very excited about our learning and have enjoyed taking our reading books home to share with our families and learning our new high frequency words. Something we have been really interested in this week has been our Maths learning. We have been using Statistics to get to know our friends here in Room 1 & 2.

We have been finding out about: the eye colours in Room 1/2, the birthdays in Room 1/2, and our favorite pets. We have been learning how to record this information in both tally charts and pictographs. Some of the key words we have been looking carefully at and thinking about have been: Most, Least and Same.
